X11 forwarding is very easy to do by using PuTTY.

  1. Configure and start your X-windows emulation program for X11 forwarding. If you need help doing this please click here to read the documentation.

  1. Open up the PuTTY program.
  2. In the area that says Host Name or IP Address enter rci.rutgers.edu
  3. In the area that says Protocol make sure that SSH is selected.
  4. Now click Open to make the connection.
