Does Linux support X Windows?

Yes. Linux uses XFree86. You need to have a video card which is supported by XFree86. See the Linux XFree86 HOWTO for more details.

Most Linux distributions currently come with an X installation.

However, you can install or upgrade your own. Read the XFree86 HOWTO for installation instructions at http://www.tldp.org/HOWTO/XFree86-HOWTO/index.html.

In Linux how do I find out how much disk space is available on a particular disk partition?

In linux there is a command called df -m that will tell users how much space is left on their disk partitions. This command can also be used to find out how much space is left on a particular partition. To do this users just need to add the name of the partition to the command. For example if I wanted to find out how mich space was left on my hda4 disk partition I would type:

df -m /dev/hda4

What is the Myparty Virus, and how do I remove it from my computer?

The Myparty virus is a mass mailing worm which arrives via an e-mail and contains the following information.

Subject: new photos from my party! Body: Hello!

My party... It was absolutely amazing! I have attached my web page with new photos! If you can please make color prints of my photos. Thanks!

Attachment: www.myparty.yahoo.com (29,696 byte PE file)

Running the attachment infects the local machine. The virus copies itself to C:\Recycled\regctrl.exe and executes that file.
